Pls come down earlier for practice! =) Band room will be opened by 830am. We have been starting band practice at 10+ (when it's supposed to be 9am!) for the past few practices, so pls come down on time! Practice time is precious! =)

The new concert date (25 Jan 2008) should be more or less fixed already. IF there are still changes, we'll inform you guys again. Hope this date is a better one and we won't have any missing sections! =)
Mdm Zaibon has discussed with Mrs Chua and came up with this new date so that the alumni can be included in the concert. So do call more of your fellow band mates to join us!!! =)
Anyway, if there're still missing sections, then the rest of the alumni who can perform will have to join the main band (so no alumni item in the concert).

Regarding the change of concert date, Mdm Zaibon has discussed with Mrs Chua and finalisd the concert date. It is changed to 25 January 2008. We will be giving you all more details tomorrow during band practice.

EMERGENCY
Due to the sudden change in plan in the main band's schedule, the main band will be going to Japan for an exchange, thus our concert will be held on the 1st of Dec 2007 instead.
This date is confirmed by the school as previously we proposed 28/29th dec and we were given 1st as a choice. Unfortunately, the school cannot accommodate to us.This may results in some of us unable to perform as it happens to fall on the examination week for most of us. Thus, now we declare an emergency.
We will definitely go on with the plan is everyone is okay with 1st, as those having examinations may only be the handful of us.
Please check your email and give us a "YES/NO" answer by Monday 2359 8 Oct 2007.
What you should do now is to check your email, give your SL a YES/NO answer and we will collate and present u guys the statistic on the availability of players for the various dates.
If,
- Most of us choose 1st Dec 2007, and the number of player is substantial, we will carry on and prepare the concert for that day.
- Most of us choose 28/29 Dec 2007, and the number of player is substantial, we will need to present the statistic to the school and request [again] for the change of date. However, if the school still cannot accomodate our request, we will, unfortunately, withdraw from this Concert officially.

- Simply indicate a tick on the date u can

The attendance was rather disappointing- 13 people turned up. Somehow, for a band to be setup, to hold a concert, collective effort is very important. We hope most people understand. It may be the exams week but like what we previously agreed, do inform us if you cannot come, thus we can actually change the practice date and not cause any unnecessary arrangement.
Nonetheless, it is very heart-warming to see the 13 members who still made their way down in the morning!
We did not proceed with the practice as the number of people was too small. Apologies to those who came, but your effort is deeply appreciated.

Regarding the change of concert date, we know that many are concerned about it because if the new concert date is 1 Dec, it's going to affect many as it clashes with exams and other activites. We're trying to get a confirmation from Mdm Zaibon asap and we'll inform you of any updates. Thank you for your patience. =)
One more thing, if any section wishes to have sectionals on weekdays^ or Saturdays (when we do not have practice), pls tell Kailing/Jieying via email/SMS or just email to hscaband@gmail.com. Pls indicate the date and time you prefer and we'll try to open the band room for you.
^preferably Friday because Jieying/Kailing has no school and will be able to open the band room.
